APPROACH:
I
construct
my
instruments
using
a
traditional
approach.
Although
I
draw
inspiration
from
the
old
masters,
I
add
a
personal
touch
to
my
instruments.
By
using
the
internal
mould,
I am
always
able
to
create
the
model
according
to
the
inspiration
of
the
moment.
I
solely
make
use
of
cutting-tools;
no
abrasive
is
ever
used
even
in
the
finish.
This
particular
procedure
gives
my
instruments
an
unique
freshness.
I
personally
take
care
of
the
construction
of
the
purfling
which
is
typically
made
of
maple
and
dyewood.
The
personalization
of
the
instrument
inevitably
affects
its
sound
which
is
rich,
strong
and
does
not
give
in
to
the
bow’s
pressure.
Ductile
instruments
offer
the
musician
a
wide
range
of
expressive
choices.
Continuous
research
on
varnishes
gave
me
the
opportunity
to
discover
a
rare
painting
process
which
allows
me
to
achieve
excellent
results
obtaining
various
effects.
Particular
attention
is
dedicated
to
the
acoustic
setup.
By
working
carefully
and
patiently
I am
able
to
construct
each
instrument
in
such
a
way
that
I
make
the
most
of
the
instruments’
sound.
I
construct
modern
and
antique
instruments,
not
only
reproducing
the
finest
details
of
the
varnish
wear,
but
also
the
distortions
and
asymmetries.
